Rewco was commissioned to fabricate two 20m3 Hot Well (feed water) tanks and stillages, and install the tanks in the hospital’s boiler house.

Given the limited accessibility of the boiler house, its windows had to be removed to allow our 50 ton per metre crane to hoist the tanks through its narrow windows that provided only millimeters of tolerance, requiring great levels of precision. 

Once inside, the tanks were lifted onto the stillages using prefabbed lifting eyes to guarantee safe handling and stability. After securing the tanks in place, we then connected the Hot Well tanks to all major services, allowing the hospital to continue operating effectively.

This project was an overnight installation, with a major local road closure, which made time our biggest challenge. However, we succeeded in working efficiently, completing the project with minimal disruption to the hospital’s crucial operations.
